PowerBook Duo - Ethernet MicroDock problems...

I have an Ethernet MicroDock that was new in box...

I installed the latest version of Newer's EtherTech drivers, but it does not see my MicroDock...

This is uncharacteristically bad behavior for a Duo as well as for Newer products... is there anything I'm missing here?

Well I guess I answered my own question.

After installing the Geoport/Express modem software (this was a clean system install and I skipped this step), somehow that enabled the ethernet microdock to work.
