PowerBook power plug (ring) not showing proper status

The ring that shows the charging status is green, but it is charging. It turns orange for a few minutes when I first plug it in, but after that it stays green.

I've done a PMU reset, held down the power button till I got the horrifying BOOOOOOOOP and repaired permissions... any ideas?

Well, it's probably either a bad charger or a bad battery. Have you got access to an equivalent of either one of these from another machine to test it out?
