Hello guys.

I bought 11 Pro Max month after it came out, together with extended warranty (2 years of warranty in total). In my EU country there is no Apple Store but 2 large Premium Resellers.

My 11 Pro Max has been dropping calls from the beginning, and after I complained, regional Apple Care call centre told me that it will be patched with software upgrades. It never happened, so I turned my, still under warranty, 11 Pro Max for a service or a replacement.

Yesterday they sent me email in which they stated that iPhone tested well in Apple Diagnostics (whatever that is), and that phone is working properly.

Is there anything I can do, or Apple penetrated me from behind with dysfunctional phone that I paid a lot of money for (in correlation with my country's average monthly pay-check)?

I am really angry. Like, WTF.

you can try a software reset too where you set it up has brand new for the 1st time and see if that help

What steps have you taken to troubleshoot? Have you called your wireless provider to check whether if it is a network issue? Have you check whether if there is a new update for carrier version by going to Settings>General>About and wait a few seconds for an update prompt? Have you tried to reset the network by going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network? Is the device on the latest iOS by going to Settings>General>Software Update?

Yes, I called Network Provider sometimes before, and they said everything was fine from their side. I updated softwarefrequently. I enabled VoLTE and VoWIFI and it didn't help. Bare in mind this happens since I bought the unit.

i had the 11 pro max as well and had issues just like this, the 11 pro max has an intel modems which quite frankly aren't that great, i had worse issues with the Xs Max which also had intel modems, which is why it passed apple diagnostics because there actually isn't anything wrong with the phone it's just the modem inside of the phone.

You can try doing a network reset. It worked for my 11. I was having issues with connectivity. I did a network reset and it worked. I still am having lots of issue with notifications working, low volume etc. but I can make a phone call and send a text now. That being said, this is my last apple product I will buy. It' has left a sour taste in my mouth because of all the notification issues I am having.

I am still having issues. Maybe the reset was a placebo. My phone still drops calls, I do not receive messages and notifications anymore, My wifes 11 has the same issues now. We are both moving to android and be done with this hot mess.

Just because an Apple service tech declares there's nothing wrong with the phone, doesn't mean that there's nothing wrong with the phone.
I took my iPhone 7 into apple to get repaired and they said it worked fine — when clearly it didn't. Glaring repeatable problem.
Also each model of iPhone has its quirks and unfixable problems that the apple techs know about. If your problem is one of those (unfixable) they'll tell you it's "fine" because they can't/won't fix it —But they'll go out of their way to try to sell you a new iPhone.

The iPhone 12s don’t have this issue, the 11’s used intel modems which aren’t that good and they 12’s went back to Qualcomm modems

either way, that does not change the fact about notifications, which has nothing to do with modem type. it's a software issue that has been in my phone since my iphone 8, which, btw also dropped calls etc and it had qualcomm. Apple's software is going backwards.

its wierd ive heard of the notification issue but it seems to effect others differently as with my 12 Pro Max i haven't appeared to have that issue at all and i rarely drop any calls. planned obsolesense maybe? to make people buy the new devices?

Who knows. It is not out of the relm of apple to pull shady stuff like that. My wife's just started having the notification issues today. I will see now about the connections issues as well. But she's done with apple too now, she relies on her notifications for work as do I. I am glad she is finally seeing the light and jumping the garden fence.
