Al Gore might be the greatest leader America never had since Vice President Wallace.

Consider what Gore stood for. He would have clean up the environment with his clean energy bills. He would never have invade Iraq like Bush did. He would never have allowed the housing boom to get out of control like Bush allowed wrecking the economy which took 6 years of Obama policies to right. The list is endless.

It's sad we were robbed of a man of integrity to occupy this country's most powerful office. We are poorer for that and the recovery goes on.

The fundamentals of the U.S economy are worse than ever. The last 6 years hasn't fixed it, it's covered the problems up. But they're still there.

We'd all be Muslims now if Gore had been president. The guy had to hire a woman to explain to him how to act and dress like a man, for cryin' out loud!:

Time reported that Al Gore's campaign has been paying Wolf, a feminist author, $15,000 a month (recently reduced to $5,000) to transform Gore from a weak "beta" male into a strong "alpha" male.

We may have ended up a bit better off than we are now, but 9/11 still would have happened and there would have been a push to respond to that in a similar way even if Gore had become president. We likely would have gotten the same or similar faulty intelligence about Iraq despite what the conspiracy theorists would like us to believe, and the initial invasion was a bipartisan decision if anything there would have been less of a protest on the left.

Also he still would have had to work with congress which would have required him to compromise on many of his campaign promises just like every other president. So while you can look back and imagine what the results of his policies would have been we have no way of knowing how political realities would forced him to change his policies. The senate would have still been split 50-50, the Republicans still would have had a majority in the house in 2000 and considering that the party holding the presidency typically performs poorly in the house during the next midterm elections it would have taken longer for the Democrats to take the house if it happened at all. Also the partisanship that we see today had already begun to form so it likely would have continued to get worse so it would be hard to get much of his agenda through if the Republicans didn't want to go along with it.

Ultimately we don't know how it would have changed things, but I bet the world would be pretty similar to how it is now with the exception that I don't think the Democrats could hold the presidency for three 2 term presidents so we likely would have a Republican in office right now.

Man, I forget all about that. I hope Tipper found herself an alpha male.

Remember Al tongue kissing Tipper on stage at the Dem Natl' Convention? That was a lot more disturbing than any gangsta rap I've ever heard.

Bush kissed that Arab because it was the polite thing to do. Gore tongue kissed Tipper because he was told he had to do it and how to do it.

From a standpoint of sheer amusement, as in "you can't be serious"

    This is hilariously unfunny

But then again evangelizing is popular in AppleLand

Considering how breathtakingly horrific the alternative turned out to be, Gore could not possibly have done worse. Absolutely nothing, at all, that W. did turned out well. Nothing. He was a disaster the whole way through, and succeeded inestimably in winning the "war on terror" on behalf of al Qaeda. There is no measure by which one can imagine that W. was a better president than Gore would have been.
