Glad for him to publicly state this belief. It is about time.

FOX really doesn't try and cover up how they see things!

As Obama says, this issue is really generational. I don't see it being a problem in the future.

It might have been a bit too soon for him to openly say this though.

Sadly, Obama might have just lost the 2012 election. :(

It's about time, in my opinion.

    Stay classy FOX.

They call it flip-flopping, we call it learning, progress, acceptance, understanding, etc. I can't believe that ad is real. Actually, I can.

Takes guts to do the right thing like that in an election year, knowing damn well the nuts already think he's a commie. Then again, I think this particular issue is generational more than partisan. Meghan McCain has been a marriage equality supporter for some time now, and there are other known younger republicans who feel the same.

If this causes him to lose the 2012 election - I'm taking my kids and moving out of this country.

Do you really think this position will hurt him politically? I think he's done a lot of stuff that could hurt him politically, but I don't see this as one of them.

I wouldn't say that with certainty. But I'd rather stand up for my beliefs than pander for political reasons. So I think he's awesome either way.

I know, right? That'd really tempt me to leave for the UK.

I'm tending to agree here. The people who are going to be hardcore upset about this probably weren't voting for him anyway.

Apparently Fox changed their minds. It's not there anymore.

EDIT: nvm, I went to the main Fox News site. Not Fox Nation.....

He is brave for making this statement in an election year--or any year. However, now Republicans will characterize him as the symbol for everything that they consider "immoral".

Yeah, I guess if the elections were going to be extremely close, maybe this position could be the few extra votes that make a difference. I just think most people that are voting for Obama aren't voting because he was against equal rights.
