Like all the other normal Presidents did?

Trump is not a normal president. He's just…. not normal.

And yet will have little to no affect on Trump or his campaign.

That story has been called into question by numerous sources, including McClatchy itself:

    https://www.theatlantic.com/notes/2...07-sidney-blumenthal-is-not-a-birther/500510/

    https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-...y-clinton-and-birther-movement-still-no-ther/

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-on-the-latest-clintonworld-birtherism-story/

And even Asher, the original source, does not claim that Blumenthal “started” the story.

It isn’t Trump that is my concern. It is what other States do with this moving forward. It boggles the mind the things I can come up with off the top of my head let alone what dedicaded groups coould come up with.

Does not the new law apply to everybody equally? It might have been triggered by Trump, but that is not the same thing as being aimed at Trump. Presumably this is also about making would-be candidates choose between being transparent and declining to run for election. I do not see this is an issue, since all candidates for POTUS since Nixon have felt fine with revealing their tax returns. Besides, there are plenty of applicants for the job, so I don't care if a few are dissuaded.

It has been stated repeatedly by Newsom and others here in Cali that they want to see Trump tax returns is one of the reasons they are attempting this (pending legal challenges). This is an effort to prevent / interfere with the electoral process.

I’m pretty sure in CA just being registered as anything other than a Democrat neocon disqualifies you for federal office. Really no need to demand more than that.

And nothing. You were the one who made the attempt at snark by pointing out the obvious. That it was my opinion. However it's not just mine. Even many that like his policy still find him a horrible human being.

Don't read into it. Wasn't snarky so much as filtering the answer.

As to your opinion (and some others), some agree, some don't, some don't care.
Like I said. That was your opinion.

So you were Ok with Arizona requiring a Birth Certificate to be on the ballot?

Plenty weren't and apparently Obama had nothing to hide and they still didn't like it.

Have candidates been voluntarily supplying their birth certificate since Nixon? As I recall anyway, Obama provided proof of citizenship in addition to his tax return.
