Preview fails to open a very large vector image, any ideas?

It's a 65535x65535 pixel PNG file.

I'm running Mojave on the i9 macbook 15 from 2019 and it just falls flat, crashes and bugs out after ~10 minutes of trying and maxing out a few cores, displaying only a totally black image.

Has anyone worked with these gigapixel sized vector images before?

Just for the protocol - this is not a vector- but pixel-based file. 🤓 Otherwise: what Mac model? And because it’s the beta: you reported it to Apple, didn’t you?
