Nope, not always. They will check if you go pick it up from the store. Ik in the UK I heard it’s different, but here in US it’s quite easy if you ship your order with Ed discount
Oh, on a different thread, somebody told me that EDU email verification was required in the USA if you wanted to purchase the Pro Apps for Education bundle.
Nope, I order off the education site all the time. There is no verification. If the Ed site wasn’t acting funny on launch day, I would have used it again. Lol.
That, yes. But not necessarily hardware. Sometimes they will do a random audit (rare) and confirm you’re still a student. Nothing complicated
I have bought many items from the education store for years and never have had to provide any proof.

If you’re not part of education faculty or a student, why lie about it? Saving $50-$100 is worth a lie to you? You are sowing the seeds of your own failure.
Yes. It was worth it each time. Can’t lie. But then again apple started doing veteran discount and pretty much default to that now.

I'm sure we have plenty of members who would be willing to pay extra 100$ on top of regular retail price as AFT - Apple fanboys/girls tax
Quite sure Apple doesn't lose anything here, aside from reaching even wilder profit margins.
