I moved up to the HP P1006 since my 1020 was not compatible with 10.6. It has been working great until a hotel sent me a receipt in pdf format. I open the file try to print from the pdf and from the mac, both ways and I get this:

/usr/libexec/cups/filter/pstoraster failed

I am not a techie, and have no idea what that means. Anyone have an idea?

No, using the HP driver. Works fine for everything else, just this one item keeps showing an error message in the printer menu.

It sounds like your hotel uses a non-standard PDF generator. If you dance around in a circle and toss salt over your shoulder, then you may get your file to print. Without access to the file, however, there is no way to know which dance steps to use or which kind of salt to toss or even which shoulder to it toss it over.
