problem with messaging

Currently I’m running ios 26 on my 5 mos old iPad Pro 13”. When sending many of my recent messages to a device (green,not blue messaging) without iMessage, it just does not go through. My settings on the device have been gone over thoroughly between myself and my son, my Apple guru.

Any others experiencing this and/or any suggestions? Thanks, in advance.

Another problem is when using the Messaging app. when I would like to message one person and that person with several others along with he or she show up as a conversation. So how do I shut down the multiple conversations showing up in this case? Not only is it annoying but why is it necessary to have to jump through multiple hoops to utilize messaging to simply one person? Sometimes you want symplification on a simple task rather than making it complicated.
