I know this is a Windows problem, but I don't know of any Windows forums, and I doubt anyone would be as helpful as they are here.
I have Vista on my iMac, and I'm trying to get documents off the HDD from our old computer (the PSU and mobo went band). I can access most folders fine, but I can't get into ''My Documents'' of anyone who password-protected their login (for example; me).
I click on ''My Documents'' and get a dialogue window saying
''You don't currently have permission to access this folder. Click Continue to get access to this folder.'' Clicking continue brings up
''You have been denied permission to access this folder. To gain access to this folder you will need to use the Security tab.'' But when you get to the security tab, the drive won't even let Windows see the security details, so you can't seemingly do anything to get in.
Is there anyway to get my files back, or am I forever doomed?
