Some dumb undergrad stepped out in front of me while biking the other day causing me to fall. I happened to land on my side where I was wearing the iPod The iPod shell was smashed such that the seam between the metal and white panels was popped open. Now the hard drive makes an unhealthy sounding whine whenever it spins up and files take 10X longer to transfer. I love my autosync, but it might be best to turn it off to save spin time on the hard drive. Any other suggestions for helping this sick iPod last as long as possible from now on?
