I've come to realize that along the road to better future, if Hilary had won, we only would of had 4 more years of what we've had for the last 8 years, the obstructionist GOP strategy of digging in, blocking everything, and continuing with their policy of National self destruction while blaming it on the other guys in the White House. And the gullible would have continued to nod their heads in agreement.

This was the only way. The GOP had to have the opportunity to be in charge and show their true colors. However, I'll point out that their true colors have been visible for the last 67 years for anyone able to open their eyes.

But If you are slow and don't understand Trump/GOP priorities, maybe some belt tightening will do you some good. My sincere hope is that we can survive this without a nuclear holocaust because we put an emotionally unstable guy in charge of our public relations with the world.

I understand you disagree. :) You don't think that the GOP Obama obstructionist strategy would have continued under Hillary?

...who will the GOP blame now? :D

CNN would be kissing her butt and FOX would be criticizing constantly. Parts of the population will be unhappy, the other parts will be ecstatic and other parts will not care. Dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria!

But, really who knows, it's just another exercise in "what ifs". Not really productive but serves the greater internet squabble.

Bull. If you want to use that excuse, Obama inherited his mess and for 8 years the GOP vowed and blocked most everything he tried to fix it. Instead of working with him, which he was willing to do, they told him no, to things even they would normally approve of. It was and is their political trademark when faced with opposition.

Agreed. It is the only explanation for 2 Obama terms.

That is just Right Wing speculation. Until you produce a real quid pro quo you have nothing. Their foundation was non-profit, unlike Trump's.

Er, wait, what? You're saying this is what Clinton would have done? Isn't this exactly what your man Trump is doing?

obama got away with it, so Clinton would have gotten away with it, hell most democrats would find ways to justify anything she did.

since YOU are ok with war then trump is YOUR guy. and unlike democrats republican actions are opposed by
    the media
    the democrats
even the freaking COURTS are stepping in.

Hillary lost because at long last many people were fed up with "more of the same crap" as they'd suffered since way back before Clinton or even Reagan. Add to that her lousy personality and the stupidity of such things as her "Deplorables" snark. Sure, some Trumpistas like him. Many held their noses and voted for him as the lesser of two weevils.

Yeah, Bush left a mess, if you want to blame Bush for it all. But Obama had two terms, with one period of party majority in Congress--and zilch was improved.

Obamacare is a financial horror show, and we also had the NDAA police state legislation enacted. Not even Bush II was that low-rent.

How can you clearly see the GOP's true colours but refuse to open your eyes a little further and admit that the Democrats are just as much of a militaristic, globalist, corrupt establishment?

Uh-huh. And they're sure doing a bang-up job of it, aren't they. I'm sure at any moment now, Trump will find himself overwhelmed by all this "opposition" and decide to do a 180 on all his policy plans. After all, he's only the President of the United States, he doesn't have any real power.
    --- Post Merged, Mar 15, 2017 ---
Actually, I don't find much fault with either the Democrats or the GOP as a whole. Running a country and protecting its citizens is an actual job that requires actual thought and actual effort. Not all threats can be defended against without military force; and yeah, in this age, if you're not acting globally, you're going to find yourself controlled by those countries which are.

Corruption is a problem in all times and all places, but compared to other countries, America has been pretty good at avoiding its worst ravages. Really, corruption is worst in places where the rule of law is not honored, where a single man can take control of the government and do with it whatever he likes. And oh, hey, look -- we've now got a guy now saying "I alone can fix it".

If there is anything I fault the GOP for, it is in failing to protect their core beliefs and allowing a pandering populist to take over their party. Trump is not good for conservatism; Trump is simply good for Trump. It is men like him who create dictatorships.

Maybe half passed as occasionally Trump will blame Bush for things too.
