People all over the world are protesting in new and imaginative ways.

Just today six women from Greenpeace climbed the Shard in London, one of whom reached the top, to protest Arctic drilling.

    Here's a photo-

Femen, started in 2008, is protesting for the rights of women. Islam is often the focus of their attention. They cleverly go topless, which helps them gain more coverage, if that makes sense :) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57IfwfMMo-0

Please use this thread to post about protests you find interesting, for any reason.

It attracts publicity, like all protests do in theory. Today's protestors are using the media for increased exposure, by making great photo opportunities. Far fewer people would likely have noticed if they'd just stood on the street waving banners.

Here in the U.S. they would have panicked and mostly likely shot them for fear they might be terrorists.

Last impression I remember gathering from YouTube's content policies, they do permit (some) non-sexual nudity. Since the video in question is in YouTube's "News & Politics" category, I assume it's "educational".

In a similar fashion, I protested world hunger today by having lunch.

The similarity would seem too uncanny to be mere coincidence!

I guess a few of these photos show when protest lacks imagination, and morality. Hopefully no one's been injured-

I haven't followed the case, but rioting is just going to hurt them more, and their victims.
