Is there by chance a PS2 emulator for the Mac?
i do not think so. Emulation.net is the best Mac emulation site around, and they don't list anything... I think, until the G5 hits, the processors are up to snuff for solid real-time emulation...
No, and I'll tell you why:
If there is an emulator for the Mac, it would be on emulation.net. He has pretty much every emulator out there, and not just one for each system, I mean ALL of them.
Edit: You beat me to it Paul.
I remember I download an app called "Blue PS2" that claimed to be a PS2 emulator, but I don't remember it working, and read later that it was a trojan...
There is currently no *working* PS2 emulator. There are a few emulators being worked on, but they are very very far from being able to play games. Here are links to two of them that are currently being developed.
Also, these are only for windows. There is no mac PS2 emulator currently in development.
Yeah the furthest they have got is to a loading screen where it either crashes or freezes, they haven't got passed the memory card 'wall'...
Over a year ago they were talking about one called Grinch or something, anyone know what (if anything) happened to it?
i think there was one called Flarestorm. i didn't ever get it to work and i don't know if they're still working on it.
Flarestorm is a PSX emulator that is still an alpha for OS X.
i heard one of the guys at my local Apple Store talking about using one but I forget what it is called. I have to go back down there tomerrow so I will ask.
Bull****, if the PC world doesn't have it the mac world doesn't.
The only thing for Ps1 was Connectix Virtual Playstation, and they stoped making it (they were sued) so therefore no, no no no no.
Lord Macman.. chill out. Are you that insecure that you have to try and make that guy feel like an idiot for no reason whatsoever?
Sony actually bought connectix instead of suing them.
Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong company, but didn't Microsoft buy Connectix?
Sony bought VGS from Connectix. Microsoft bought VPC from Connectix. Connectix, the company, is still Connectix.
Ah, ok, thanks
Did you ask them? What were the results?
oh yeah, i forgot that was for PSX. but if they don't even have a PSX emulator how do you expect them to have a PS2 emulator?
