Is it possible to use my Eyetoy camera as a webcam or for iChat? Am I smoking crack?
I tried and failed, would be interested if anyone has managed this...
Check this site! http://www.nathanbolender.com/eyetoy/
Thanks for the very helpful link.
(found this page on Google =D)
Serious question noww
ive had my ps2 eyetoy working for a long time, i have a pc not a mac....but i was wondering if anyone has come across anything interesting that you can do with the webcam, because it was made for motion and kinetic movements, you think ther is someway you can use that for the computer? or am i talking a load of CR** haha, would be interesting to know..
I don't know if there is any software that uses unique eyetoy features, but I used my eyetoy with a webcam software called yawcam to make it work as an motion triggered alarm There's are many other features in yawcam like web streaming, automatic image captures to ftp server etc.
If you're into this kinda stuff, i would definitely recommend it
The best part: It's free!
If You go to the website above and follow the instructions you can use anything except photo booth.
i can use photobooth with my ps3 eye, cant use imovie though
sorry to threadjack\re open an old thread,
I have an eyetoy that works in macam, and i did put the macam.component in library\quicktime
but every other application only sees the eyetoy as a microphone, and it actually works as a mic which i found quite odd. but it only works as a camera in macam.
