I did a quick search and couldn't find any references to TrafficSense on the boards but Three have made a change to their One Plan all you can eat data plan which puts you at risk of extremely slow (pretty much useless) speeds from 3pm until midnight.

    More info at XDA here

To see how badly people are being affected see this twitter post (picture also attached to this post):

Those that use the tethering functionality of their smartphones (as I do) who were under the impression that it was unlimited with no fair usage policy (see comment in PDF below) may end up getting stung for 7 days whilst TrafficSense is applied to your connection.

More info from Three: How we use TrafficSense™.

And a video showing how bad the service is if you go over these unknown limits:

If you read through the XDA thread, some people are being offered to end their contract early with the return of the handset due to this new policy but I haven't bothered trying this myself.

You're probably not one of the highest users. Generally it's only the real data hogs that are affected.

I don't get throttled on virgin media but I've seen a lot of whiners.

Yeah Everythingeverywhere is now the only network now to offer truly unlimited tethering.

This is pretty disgraceful. Ive just had an email off them to say they are putting my contract price up (which i only signed at the start of March) by 3% as well.
