Hi, I just got my first new iPod since '03 - the iPod Classic.

I also got a Radio Remote with it, as I like to have a remote (and my 3G iPod came with one for free!)

The dock connector is shorter than a normal dock connector, but also has prongs on the side. Usually, you would squeeze the dock connector and pull it out of the iPod - but the radio remote has no such buttons, causing me to need to pull it out.

It's not mentioned anywhere in the literature how you're meant to pull it out - does it need a yank, etc.

So - does anyone know what's meant to happen? I feel like I'm breaking my new iPod every time I pull it out!

IIRC its just a low-tech pull out - the prongs are angled to allow it, but maintain some semblance of a grip when inserted.
Side question - how do you find it? I got rig of mine pretty damn quickly as it was nigh on unuseable, poor to no reception forcing me to do odd things with the cable to get anything. Sold it within a week. That was on a 1G nano....
