iPhone 8/Plus Purchased a Verizon iPhone 8+ from Apple Store, full price. Unlocked?

On launch day, I purchased a Verizon iPhone 8+ from the Apple Store at full price (no monthly plans). My Verizon plan is postpaid, but I believe no contract or ETF. Is my iPhone 8+ unlocked or not? I've seen conflicting information online.

From my understanding every iPhone paid in full from the Apple Store should be unlocked.

they were all unlocked if purchased in store for full price. even the ATT models.
