Hi macrumors,

I'm an avid user of QuarkXPress and I just decided to gather some opinions on why everyone hates it and why everyone likes InDesign so much better.

What do you think?

I have VERY little experience with either, but I do know the print shops I work with like InDesign customers better than Quark customers. Dunno why. I submit Illustrator files. I've just heard several of them mention it.

Yeah, from what people say they like InDesign better. I've also been reading a lot of how Quark got better, then InDesign, then Quark, all the time.

Interesting:D

Quark had a tough time keeping up with the changes in how people worked. They would take forever to update the software, and when they'd finally release an update, and it usually seemed to only make things worse. Also, the cost of upgrading Quark was always ridiculous, so I think people got fed up, and InDesign started getting more and more attractive.
