    Hey guys.

    I have an urgent question.

I'm from Argentina where Netflix is available. I have an account.

I have a friend who is in Spain right now, where Netflix is not yet available.

I asked him to bring me an Apple TV 3 because it is much cheaper there. And I need to access Netflix from a Non Smart LCD I have.

And he is leaving Spain in a couple of hours.

He went to the Madrid's Apple Store where he was told that they didn't know if he could be able to use Netflix in Argentina from the Apple TV bought in Spain.

If you look at Apple's Spanish site for the Apple TV, you can't see Netflix in the images:

But you can in the US site:

Do you know if I'll be able to access Netflix in Argentina (where Netflix is available) from an Apple TV bought in Spain (where Netflix is not available)? Is there some kind of regional lock from Apple TV?

But I don't want to do that.

I mean. I don't want to access the Netflix catalogue of other country. I want ot access my country's catalogue. I have an account.

But I don't know if buying the hardware in a country where Netflix is not avaliable (Spain) means I won't be able to access the app at all.

:apple:TV hardware is identical all around the world!
If I log in to US iTunes Store account, I get the NetFlix app on my screen. Obviously I can not watch it, as I have no account and non-US IP.

The bottom-line is this - :apple:TV icon grid is a web-based thing and so independent of the hardware.

In Argentina wanting to get Agentinian Netflix with Argentinian internet account/IP address on a Spanish-bought Apple TV is no problem. Only issue I can think of is power (110/230v) but there's ways around this if this is an issue.

The content or channels are based on where you tell the device it is..
I've bought an ATVs from HongKong and from the US and they work fine in the UK.
