No big issue, just would like to understand...!

When I place my iPad Pro 11 (3rd Gen) with iPadOS 16.5 beside my MacBook Pro M2 with Ventura 13.4 I can see open apps from the other device, in both directions. I also can move the pointer from my MacBook to the iPad and work with it. So far all fine.

The only curious thing: I work with Firefox, not Safari. On my MacBook it shows the Firefox symbol when I work with Firefox on the iPad, but on my iPad it shows the Safari symbol when working with Firefox on the MacBook. Any ideas what can cause this interesting behavior?

Best regards, Herbert

It just displays it with your chosen browser. It only means it'll open it up in that browser. Nothing weird about it ;)

Hmm, doesn’t really help to understand…!
In both devices Firefox is set as my default browser.
Why does it
- show correctly on the MacBook that on the iPad Firefox is open
- while it shows ”wrongly” on the iPad that on my MacBook Safari is open, while in reality also Firefox is open
- and finally opens the Firefox page from my MacBook on my iPad in Safari?
Just a little weird…,

Herbert
