I've got a few movies that I've tagged with Metx but I've noticed a couple of errors, can I correct them with iTunes and will iTunes write the new info to the file or store it locally (like it does with artwork)?

For example, a movie description had a few grammatical erorrs, so I went into iTunes and edited the 'description'. Will this save on the file itself??

FYI - using iTune 8 here.

Many thanks :)

That's annoying.

I did a test. I edited a description in iTunes, then deleted the file from my library, then re-imported it and it had saved my tags. Does that mean it does edit the tags or not?

Editing files on iTunes, I believe, does not edit the ID3 tag.
Well I noticed the same thing: When I edit a name of an album in iTunes, it is not edited if I import the song to my iPod from iTunes !!!??

How the hell is that supposed to work ?

Thanks,
Tex
