Using Cydia I found an app called Logome, which should do what you described, and what the OP is looking for. However I can't seem to get it to work.

A AlexAndBandit macrumors newbie Feb 28, 2009 24 0 Mar 24, 2009 #5 Logome currently does not work on the iPod touch 2nd Gen. As far as I've read on logo me, there is no way to get it to work. But on other devices or firmwares, it might work.
