I search the forum and couldn't find the answer to my question.

For the people who have Tiger, can you encode video in MPEG-4. I currently do this a lot on my Mac, because I record a lot of TV, and then compress it. I'm concerned that I will have tons to catch up on once I get MPEG-4.

I think I can compress in MPEG-4, because I have Quicktime Pro instead of regular, but I'm not sure. I looked on the Apple site and noticed that there isn't a Quicktime 7 Pro, which concerns me. I remember reading somewhere that you have to buy the Pro version to encode in N.264, so will you have to have Pro for MPEG-4.

Q7Pro will be out when Tiger is offically released. (Friday) Right now i can export in MPEG-4..... i'm assumming that Q7 is able to too. (I have Q6Pro)

edit: i'm not sure if pro is required to encode in those formatts. sorry
