They won't - if you look at their price match guarantee - it specifically EXCLUDES unactivated cellphones.

No luck.

Unactivated prices refer to phones not purchased with a contract renewal. RS gets a kickback from the carrier for renewing a contract the extra $50 covers what they loose by you purchasing it at full price. Hence no price match.

Well it never hurts to ask, but I think they are referring to their prepaid phones and right now they probably don't consider the 5 available as a prepaid no contract phone.

No contract phones are phones that are offered new without the possibility of a contract - there is a slew of phones that fit that description at Radioshack and other retailers - sadly, the iPhone 5 is not among them.
