Hi,

I got my 800Mhz iBook just last Thusday, so I'm thinking about returning it and getting the 1Ghz version... and saving £50 in the process. However, I bought 512MB RAM for the 800Mhz version, which I haven't installed yet. Will this work in the new version, if I indeed get it?

If not, does anyone know how good Crucial are at swapping these things? The box is open, but the memory is still sealed.

Thanks

According to Crucial's web site, they have the same specs, however the part numbers are different. I'd give Crucial a call to see if it is compatible.

Did you ever call to check on this? I was wondering the same thing. The specs seem exactly the same, so I would presume that it would work, but it would be nice to be sure.

Well, I called this morning, but I was on hold for so long I ended up hanging up... I've emailed them, but god knows when they'll reply.

I'll keep you posted though.

Cheers!
