Here's a strange problem:

Last night I was readjusting my iMac's screen. When I tilted it, the power cord was caught between my desk and the wall and was pulled out of the back of the Mac.

I plugged it back in and booted it back up. Everything is fine, except Safari randomly gets the wait cursor every 10-20 seconds when I'm loading and browsing web pages. When I'm doing something like typing a post for a forum, I don't have it.

I think that my power problem is 100% unrelated, but I have no idea. How could a loss of power cause this?
