Rebooting Phone

Hi Peeps, I reset all settings on my IPhone 3G and im stuck with a rebooting phone. It shows the apple logo and shows it booting, only for the screen to go blank and repeat the booting cycle. Any ideas on what I can do?

Google DFU mode, and initiate a restore from iTunes.

Tried that but the system did not even recognise my phone. Any oda suggestions?
