Hi quick question

If i'm recording guitar into Garageband would I need to plug in my amplifier into the Line 6 soundcard? as I know you can't just primarily use the speakers in a Macbook, is this the right setup? Thanks in advance

If you want to preserve the tone of your amplifier, buy a microphone for your cabinet and plug THAT into your Line 6 Interface. Check out sennheiser E609 or MD421(one of my faves).

If Garageband has any amp modeling, you can plug the guitar directly into the interface and use plugins to get your desired tone. Sorry I can't be any more specific on Garageband. Haven't messed around with it too much.
