Hi guys, I have a mac air 2011 with snow leopard 10.6 (latest update). It recently broke, when I turn it on, it stays on for a minute, but then it automatically shuts down. Im able to do a login, and enter my desktop, but it shuts down too fast before I can copy anything. I dont have a backup for the files...

I have filefault enabled, can I simply remove the microssd and plug it in another mac air? If not, how can I recover the files? I dont remember setting a "master password", I only remember setting filevault with my normal login info...

Would copying the microssd to a an external drive, and then use this external drive to boot on a different mac also work?

Thanks in advance!!
