Remove apple id from sign on window

I am selling my macbook air and I want to remove all ids from the macbook. When i go to icloud from Apple preferences it autofills my id in the icloud window. How do i suppress/remove that before selling the macbook. Thanks

Thanks . I have done all that. It dioesn't work . I guess it is stored somewhere on icloud or the mac.

You are right. I did not because I am afraid of losing my OS. I did a reinstall using Command+R.

Depending on vintage of the Mac, could have been initially setup with the option to use Apple ID to sign-in to device. Was an option very briefly, but Apple appears to got smart that that was not a great thing (eg. forget Apple ID password, locked out of the Mac; shared Apple IDs).
