Remove running programs

A couple of programs I want to remove I can't because they are running and I can't stop them!

These are tiger launch which I can't delete as it's always running in the menu bar and I can't stop it and MediaCentral which I can't delete because it's running too.

Why not use activity monitor in your utilities folder to force quit both applications. Or you probably can remove both applications from your login items (they seem like the type) and relogin in. Or if you really want use terminal and get the PID via top and use kill to stop it...
