Is there a way to reorder mail accounts? For example, say I have 4 accounts listed, but want the one showing up on the bottom to show on the top, etc.

I had this issue the other day with my two accounts. I was having problems with my secondary Gmail account and so deleted it and recreated it. It then ended up on top of my primary account in the list which I didn't want!

After much faffing about, the only way I could get around it was to delete my primary account and re-create it so it then went to the top.

Possibly not the best of solutions for you - but it's one workaround.

Rod.

heh... that'd be a pain to delete them all and re-add them, but if it works, it works. Thanks. ;)

Re-ordering mail accounts

Actually the easiest way to re-order your accounts is to:

1. In the info tab in iTunes untick the "Sync mail accounts"
2. Sync iPhone
3. In the info tab tick "Sync mail accounts"
4. Tick the mail account you want first
5. Sync iPhone
6. Repeat 4 & 5 until your accounts are in order

You'll find all of the email information remained on the phone so nothing lost.:D

I just did that a bit - I had too many email accounts and had to scroll off the screen... Thanks for the tip!

Little caveat -

It seems when you add a .mac account, it floats to the top! That's called a halo effect for Apple in my book....

And my Exchange account seems to stay on the bottom, even after adding other accounts.

Funny, Apple. Sad, but funny...

Command Drag to move account order

this is an old thread and after I read this I tried the good old fashioned "modifier keys" and had success. Hold the Command key then drag in the mail window. Works on OSX 10.8
