It's only a hate crime if the victims are black:

Of course it's not protesting, it's rioting and idiots are out there in the middle of it , go home & let the cops deal with it

The sad part is people are more angry about the rioter's actions than police officers severing the spine and killing a 25yr old unarmed male. I say good for the rioters, since it's proven to be the only way to get attention. Unfortunately, violence has and will always be king at getting situations noticed.

    2 wrongs don't make a right.

things are getting noticed, but the wrong things are the ones that are being noticed.

I understand your perspective and have little to no faith in the police. Unfortunately, none of victims of violence seem to be uniformed police officers. They look more like baseball fans getting ready for an Orioles game across the street. So while you might try to justify tossing trashcans on people at random and storming tourists past barricades, it reeks of completely misguided anger.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning this at all. But it seems the priority of the mainstream anger is always towards the "effect" rather than the "cause".

I simply choose not to give a damn about any riots because the cause of it is a more important issue. And if riots seem like the only way to get attention that it deserves, then it's not about whether it's right or wrong anymore.

As noted above . The anger /frustration is being taken out on the wrong people. It's like being mad at police & then burning/looting/beating innocent people for it,,,,,,,oh, wait

Problem with cops,? Take it out on THEM

You know, it's pretty sad that Congress hasn't passed a single law to improve this issue. Pathetic.

If anything it shows how openly racist the Republican Party is these days.

Whenever there is an outcry, unfortunately there will be those who take advantage of the chaos for their own personal gain. That doesn't mean everyone protesting is a crook.

Pray/say/tell what laws have the democrats introduced to fix the problem?
I don't see how the police actions are a republican issue

    ----------

They have the means to stick it to the citizens, what they lack is the BALLS to take on someone who will hit them back, worthless POS cowards beating those who can't defend themselves.

Do the Democrats even have the power to do that given the Republicans control the house and the senate?

There was no immediate need to do anything until the policemen wasn't indicted in the Garner case.

This issue only reached public attention in late 2014. And you certainly had to give the grand juries in the Garner and Brown cases a chance to work as you'd expect with merely increased public attention.

That especially in the Garner case no one was indicted is appalling.

By having the means too, I meant weapons and an organized army. The police, special units, and the national guard are not going to "hit back". They are going to shoot everything they have available, from gas, rubber ammo, and live ammo.

The time for them to propose something is for 2016. The time to do something now is on the shoulders of the current regime in congress AKA the Republicans.

I'm sure they can try and reverse Obamacare for the fiftieth time straight after.

Reminds me of the old stereotype of the husband that is frustrated/belittled/abused at work, so he goes home and punches his wife, because he doesn't have the means to overcome the situation at work.

The work situation is still present, and now he's just an ******* who beat his wife.
