Republican math might help explain why we have such problems with the budget:

This article, a horrifying example of police brutality against some Paulistas, indicates that Paul will collect 27 of Louisiana's 45 delegates to the convention.

Oddly enough, this table on RCP shows that the primary allocated 10 delegates to santorum, 5 to RawMoney and none to Newt or Paul.

So, who cares what the voters think? This is not like some kind of democracy or republic. God have mercy on the good old USA.

I cannot fathom as to why anyone cares. Romney has won, if Louisiana wants to vote for someone else, so what?

The whole Electoral College based system, in both Primaries and elections, needs to go. It was built for a different era and was made obsolete by technology at least 50 years ago.

I know you Yanks like to hold onto stuff which is past its sell by date (I mean, Fahrenheit, really?) on this one it's really overdue for a change.

The reason that politicians like the electoral college is you only really have to win the inner cities in major states to win the election....

    Yes, it should go.

130 years ago, everyone assumed that the political process in the U.S. was corrupt. Things gradually, but not uniformly, got better. The New Deal, and then WWII, and the Cold War eventually brought the country together enough, and, among other things, overt political corruption became unacceptable.

"Anyone cares" because this sounds like something from 1896. It actually is a big deal if the report is accurate and the state police actually were used by the state government to re-establish political control over a state political party.

Sorry, I think I haven't explained myself well at all .

What I mean is why do Romney's people care about stopping the people in this primary voting however they want.

The question I have is why the taxpayers of Shreveport should pay to have police officers act like bouncers at a private meeting of a political party. Surely the Republicans should have hired private security. Otherwise they're acting like damned socialists....
