Me thinks this guy has some issues. but at least he did not go too far

“We’re not going to outlaw masturbation in Utah.”

I'm always a bit amused at how completely at odds political conservatism and religious conservatism are.

Religious conservatism: Care for the poor.
Political conservatism: Let the poor take care of themselves.

Political conservatism: The government should not tell people what they can and cannot do.
Religious conservatism: The government should enforce biblical moralities.

Maybe he's dated a porn addict? I have, and it's not pretty. People get used to the bogus standards set in porn output, never mind disassociating love and the person one is with from sex acts themselves. It's almost a form of sociopathy.

Also, how does one test for masturbation? Replace "a chicken in every pot" with "a sensor in every toilet bowl" - seriously?!!

Do they even realize the disconnect?

Or "Teach a man to fish" while they work in the background giving fish to companies draining the lake and moving it offshore...

I'm sure the conservatives around here make note of their comrades' voting records, such as this one back when they had filibuster-proof control of all 3 branches:

    http://www.ontheissues.org/SenateVote/Party_2005-63.htm

And how government involvement in the free market only hurts, but then they turn a blind eye to all the corporate welfare and other corporate entitlement... especially if corporations are people too ("corporate personhood") then their double standards really get deep to the level of "abyss", which is, shall we say, "abyssmal" now that Walmart, the system they champion as a big success, has been leaving small towns and leaving the people with no stores to get necessities - been going on for years and Walmart is the same system that takes loads in corporate welfare but pays so little that their workers have to get ON welfare to make ends meet, and we all know how we're told that these jobs are supposed to be for teenagers (fair, that's fine and dandy). Since they are for the teens, don't forget: as more "mom and pop stores" close and "mom and pop jobs" vanish then fast food and retail fluff are all that's left...

Speaking from personal experience, I say, "Equine excrement." There ain't nothing addicting about pornography. I can quit at any time. Hail, I've quit thousands of times before.:p

I wonder how Senator Weller feels about legalized prostitution as part of liberty?
