Despite being born in Fort Leavenworth, this guy never served in the military. Yet for some reason he feels qualified to lecture general officers on political matters. Why doesn't this fool protest Obama by resigning his seat in Congress?

"Muslim Brotherhood in the White House."

It sounds like he's one of the "Obama is secretly Muslim" lunatics.

Actually, that quote was from some idiot in the crowd, not the Representative. However, notice how he did not call him out on it. Typical tea bagger moron.

But it has nothing to do with Obama being black.

Anyway ... regarding the Congressmen urging generals to resign in protest, I see it as a free speech issue and don't begrudge them their opportunity to try to exert a little influence. I don't agree with their intent, but ...

I like how he's encouraging others give up their job.

'A lot of us' should lead the way. It would be a nice start.

What is your pint? Obama's "...cling to their guns and their religion..." was not a public comment. Romney's "47%" comment was at a banquet, not meant for public consumption. A bar seems like a much more public-type place to be saying stuff, you do not need cameras and mics and a lectern.

I think rebellion might be the wrong word when speaking generals and the president.

That language just has no place when speaking of senior Officers and the President.

We are talking a pretty extreme situation for officers to not follow the chain of command for political reasons.

Totally agree, I would understand if the military started rebelling if Obama ordered a genocide of all kittens.

Obama himself has set the example on this..."Don't agree with the law, then it doesn't have to apply."

I can't believe you're seriously suggesting the U.S. military shouldn't follow the president.

I wouldn't have either. The guy realizes that some of his supporters are morons. Arguing with them would not help his campaign.

I wouldn't have called him on it, either. That does nothing but draw more attention to it and begin and argument. Just continue to move on.

Urging somebody else to quit their job to score political points for you has to rank as one of most pathetic exhibitions of political cowardice in quite some time.

Whatever your thoughts on some of the political positions taken by today's alleged Conservatives, at some point don't you have to wonder why these people are such utter grifters?

From Dick Morris and Sarah Palin, to the chickenhakws of Move Forward America. Its bad enough modern Conservatism is intellectually and morally bankrupt - but do they have to be such utter crooks too?

Arguably, Bush before him, but do we want to ignore that part? As a standard I do belive laws passed should be followed and funded, something I believe both parties are guilty of not adhering to.
