Sorry, but these people are not doing 2A supporters any favors.

A standing woman closes her eyes as she holds an unloaded weapon during services at the World Peace and Unification Sanctuary, Wednesday Feb. 28, 2018, in Newfoundland, Pa. Worshippers clutching AR-15 rifles participated in a commitment ceremony at the Pennsylvania-based church. The event Wednesday morning led a nearby school to cancel classes for the day. The church's leader, the Rev. Sean Moon, said in a prayer that God gave people the right to bear arms. (AP Photo/Jacqueline Larma)

The 2nd Amendment isn’t going anywhere; nor is the 1st Amendment.

This does not look like a church. It looks like a cult.

    Bizarre.

    Lol.

They do look cultish, but I don’t see how this is going to affect the second amendment or its supporters whatsoever.

I would say the same about the photos of a few people crying over an election or some extremists (in costume) at marches, etc. And yet they are shown to undermine the entire group. My comment wasn't about them affecting the 2A. It was more a commentary on some people who will reuse these photos when talking about gun-loving crazies or some other description. In other words - they aren't doing responsible gun owners a favor by taking it to an extreme. I mean - I know some really big gun enthusiasts. But a crown made out of bullets?

I don’t see the first or second amendment was harmed then or now. Neither is in jeopardy.

    Gaslight deflection noted.

Not a fan of the gun worship, but I do believe in gun ownership in general and in the second amendment in America. I also wouldn't mind banning of AR15s if there was a legitimate reason behind it, it wouldn't be my weapon of choice, but it's not as powerful as other weapons I've shot so it really doesn't make sense other than people just not understanding rifles.

So what’s the point other than every movement/cause has people on the fringe that hurt said cause?

Exactly the point. And to point out the absurdity (in my opinion) of these people in PA.

Not to speak for the OP, but when I see pictures like this I agree that it hurts the cause for responsible gun owners. And that doesn’t mean the people in the pictures are irresponsible. I do see that the guns all look secured. But, these people seem a bit out there and here they are walking around a church like they’re in a war zone.

Well that would explain a lot about some questionable links from the Washington Times that I saw in some other threads.

You are right, as long as we are ruled by the Cult of Gun, we’ll see no updates to the 2A which is desperately needed. In the mean time, please pile those bodies in Town Center so we can be reminded of the consequences of our choices.

Agreed! :) I’m using rhetoric to make a point about the ramifications of our choices and inaction while facing a real threat to the lives of our citizens. My position is that we should concerned about 20-30k gun deaths per year, yet the Cult of Gun doesn't flinch because it’s a cherished freedom, the freedom to live and die by the sword.

These fruitcakes look nearly possessed. It's creepy and certainly appears to have properties of a cult.

Have to say, though, certainly looks ethnically very diverse! Who knew it would be the thing that brought everyone together. :p
