I am backing up my ipod touch as we speak because its forcing me to before I do an update.
I was reading on the apple website about restoring from a backup and I opened the file where backups are stored and there are THOUSDANDS OF FILES. it seems to be creating 30 files every minute (ive included a picture).

Is this normal??? How am I supposed to know which file to use to do my restore?

Also it is taking hours and hours to backup and install the update. its been going for about 5 now and not even close to half way done. Is this normal?

Thanks to all who can help :)
