Oh man what a douche. So if you do nothing, he stomps his point all over everyone's face, and if you show up and stop him, he will only manipulate it to support his cause more.

Books don't kill people. People kill people. Isn't that what they say?

He got a free car out of his burning campaign, perhaps he's looking to trade up with this one.

The bible is just as bad. The problem is there are more Muslim extremists that take it word for word and commit terrorist acts than there are Christians. But in reality the bible and the quaran are equally evil, neither are peaceful religions.

This speaks volumes.... I'm a Christian, but I find this Reverend (if he can be called that) disgusting.

Literately. Sorry. My hands have been typing words that I haven't been meaning all week. I can't explain why it keeps happening.
    Sorry.

You can't take the Bible literally in many aspects. You need to understand what XYZ text is saying before using it as an excuse or even interpreting it literally.

For example, the beast mentioned in the Apocalypse are known to be figurative (this can be inferred from the preceding text describing said beasts)while the Ten Commandments are known to be literal (as we know what happens to thieves or murderers).

The one thing I do take literal is God's love for us all, even if you don't believe in him or are not from ABC religion. God's love is unconditional and for us to discover, the Bible pretty much says this over and over.

The problem is people like this guy (Reverend Jones) make it so that people new to God's love think being Christian = God's love is subjective and for a few. Moreover, they make it so that people believe that those who don't believe in God, or who believe and sin against him, are hated by God.

God hates sin, not the sinner. There is a huge difference.

I'm only talking about those mentioned in Exodus 20. The rest are guidelines for the Jewish people to live in the harsh conditions they were in; you know traveling 40 years in the same desert.

Wonder why slavery and rape slipped God's mind. I mean, if you're going to make a top-ten list of things you shouldn't do, you'd think those would be on it.

But then again, those weren't THAT bad when the Bible was written. (Even though it's the "word of God." :D)

Isn't it about time we all adopted the Internet maxim and didn't feed the troll? Rev. Jones is just a media whore out to make a name for himself and his crappy no-mates church.

Jones seems like the kind of guy who would go to great lengths to assemble and impartial jury, too.
