    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my opinions on a case that I have been using for the past few weeks.

Noreve is a company from France who make only very high end leather cases for smartphones, tablets and now laptops. I've had a few of their smartphone cases and I was always satisfied with them, so when they recently started making cases of notebooks I was pretty excited. There's just something about genuine, high quality leather which is hard to beat.

The case comes packaged in a very handsome box, and within the box, there is also another protective, soft, velvety type of sleeve to protect the case itself. This is classic Noreve - this is how they treat their smartphone cases as well. It just screams quality.

Once out of the sleeve, you're greeted with the awesome smell of genuine leather, and this case looks amazing. It also offers sufficient padding and has a nice hardness to it, so it should do a great job of protecting the notebook. Here are some details of the weave and the Noreve logo.

The case offers perfectly sufficient padding, and both the top and bottom are quite hard, so it will easily protect the notebook against bumps and even drops.

Here are some more side shots. The attention to detail throughout the case is excellent. Very classy in my opinion.

I've been rocking this case for the past few weeks and it's easy to carry around and just go, and it also gets a LOT of attention from everyone who sees it. They immediately want to touch it to see what it's like. I'm not too concerned about that, I'm more concerned about the way it protects the Macbook. While I haven't done anything silly like a drop test (and neither should you) I have bumped it around quite a few times by accident and it was never a problem.

Here are a few more shots with the Macbook inside of the case.

Overall, I'd have to give this case a 10 out of 10, easily. Just the way it looks and protects is second to none.

Here is a link to their product page for those interested : http://www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/Leather_sleeve_for_15'_laptop_-_Griffe_2.html

Yes, it's not cheap. But you definitely get what you pay for, and this case is built to last. Not only that but they offer a ton of customization options, so that's a plus. They also offer free shipping with DHL to anywhere in the world, which is a big plus I think.

Cheers everyone, hope this review was useful to some of you :)

Great review, lovely pictures. I was looking for a case exactly like this, with a luxuries touch as well. Thanks for pointing to this.

Nice case and all but.. you do realize that the first thread on this particular forum is dedicated to MBP bags/cases/backpacks?

PS.: For leather case + free shipping, I wouldn't say it's too expansive. ;-)

@ynrozturk - I see that this case is a generic 13" laptop case. Although it does list that it is compatable with the 13" MBP as well as rMBP. My worry is that the inside is too generic and will not snugly fit the rMBP. Which model do you have and how do you feel about the fit or secureness of the laptop inside the case?
