Ripped Blu-ray movies not showing in Apple TV

So, I have a few movies that I ripped from Blue-ray and they do not show up in Apple TV. I read where you click movies then library and all ripped and acquired in other places movies will be there. The only movies that show up are ones I bought from Apple.

I think it’s a bit buggy atm. I dragged my own m4v file into Apple TV and it only showed up in “Recently Added.”

Its not just Apple TV. Apple Music won’t show my ripped music.

I think (hope!) the tv app is still missing a few big chunks of functionality in this regard as I’ve got a huge Home Shared iTunes library on my old 2011 Mac mini (running High Sierra) and while this shows up in the tv app on iOS 13 under Home Sharing in the Library tab it doesn’t show at all in the tv app in Catalina.
