As he often does, Sullivan gets it right. It's about time the press started calling Romney out on all his lies.

I have to admit, I thought Romney was going to disprove the allegations tonight instead of simply denying them. For whatever reason this whole thing somewhat reminds be of the Obama birth certificate derpfest, which only goes away (from semi-reasonable folk and above) if you flat-out prove the truth. Romney needs to do that. A businessman who pampered his way all to the Republican nomination certainly doesn't have my trust.

As one of the PRSI'ers said recently

'Romney is squeaky clean, liberals can't handle it.'

The more I see and hear of Mitt Romney, the less I like him. A guy who says that people should "get as much education as they can afford," and that students who can't afford college "should borrow the money from their parents," just isn't in touch with people. Now he's gone delusional about his past, and he's become arrogant about it.

I don't think you can get elected President if people don't like you, and Mitt Romney is not very likeable.

I like his latest ploy, about his leave-of-absence from Bain capital.

It is apparently beneath POTUS to sully his hands with these "allegations".

Like he would know anything about propriety.

It will be very embarrassing when Romney beats Obama by 20% this Fall

For the sake of the nation I hope this doesn't happen.

A presidential candidate who took part in a hate crime and wants to limit the rights of a percentage of U.S. citizens, lies about his tax history and involvement with a company who assisted in outsourcing jobs to China is not fit to lead this country.

He can start by not worrying what goes on in other peoples bedrooms ;)

Sadly that seems like a herculean task for most republicans :/

Electoral is possible, but popular there isn't a chance of it.

Oh...you mean the way the George W. Bush years are to Republicans? Or the way Sarah Palin and the last Presidential election was to Republicans? :D

It's hysterical seeing how far they go to avoid mentioning either of those debacles and how far they go to avoid being associated with them. Usually the previous sitting President of a party gets out there and stumps for the next potential President of that same party. Instead, President GWB is all but in hiding. Heck..he's been spending a lot of his time in outside the country even. Meanwhile, Romney tries to hide the fact that he was at a fundraiser hosted by V.P. Cheny this week.

Now THOSE things are an embarrassment.

I disagree completely with Gary Johnson on universal healthcare and Social Security.

I will give him credit, though, for apparently being a true fiscal conservative who isn't using it as a smokescreen for a racist agenda like so many Tea Party and "states rights" conservatives. As far as I can tell, he has been consistently anti-racist and pro civil liberties.

You'd think so, but the largest percentage point margin in the popular vote of a presidential election occurred in 1920 (Harding 60.3% to Cox 34.1%). [source]

I'll agree that the chances are remote.

I dont agree with him completely either, but I like the man's record of supporting civil rights and I agree with many of the libertarian party's ideals...he's often been at odds with republicans. Years of a grade A record for civil rights has distinguished him among conservatives. And it is sad...we have exceptional conservative leaders like Gary Johnson and republicans pick Mitt Romney, who has a record that indicates he is yet to get the whole civil rights thing...
