Running 10.11.1 Beta - Can I install the 10.11 release to downgrade?

    Will this cause huge issues? or should I just stay on 10.11.1 and turn off the beta updates when 10.11.1 is actually released?

    It worked for me. I was actually surprised it let me, but I haven't had any problems with it. Did it on two machines.

    I did exactly that on one of my Macs. No issues.

    You can "downgrade" to the public release version from the higher beta version, but you will have to download the entire 6 GB El Capitan Installer and run it—doing a simple update won't work.
