Dude - He's mocking those that anthropomorphize animals... illustrating absurdity with absurdity...

Pretty easy to anthropomorphize gorillas, since they share 98% of our genome.

    NERD FACTS!

Rush Limbaugh looks in the mirror every morning and sees evidence that evolution is false.

Ironic coming from the only person in this thread who isn't taking the thread completely in jest; and it so happens to be that the person is on the Right.

Until Rush says that outright, specifically, and incontrovertibly -- and without a disclaimer saying he's talking a different viewpoint, etc, listeners may believe what they choose to believe.

(Plus, he's an entertainer mixing in real life humany wumany stuff... anyone taking that in face value, especially if they get paid, probably shouldn't be taken as gospel.)

But like most arrogant types, he says he is always right while having a high enough EQ and able to communicate well in public speaking situations. How he says something sounds right, though technically may not be correct.

It seems far from clear exactly what role, if any, that Rush Limbaugh serves in the Conservative zeitgeist.

Even Limbaugh himself admitted as much in a Facebook post:

He certainly seems to have slipped from whatever dubious perch he once held in formation of Conservative or Republican political philosophy. His appearances at events such as CPAC back in 2009 served more to draw attention to the sheer unpleasantness of Limbaugh as an individual, and his utter toxicity to any hopes of building a bridge to women, Latinos, African-Americans, etc. than anything else.

The dirty little secret is that Limbaugh's much ballyhooed radio audience (never as large as claimed) is fast disappearing. Sometimes into the cemetery or nursing home. His advertising base has shrunk to a handful of scammy holdouts (LifeLock; PajamaGram; various gold selling operations). Limbaugh has been all but banished from the radio dial in cities such as Chicago and Indianapolis. And even at the best of times, listening to Rush Limbaugh was the sort of activity even his most devoted fans usually conducted while they were doing something else.

It now seems the only time Limbaugh generates much press is if he says something particularly vile and offensive. (In his secret heart, Limbaugh probably says a silent thanks to outfits like Media Matters and Salon.com for generating spikes in traffic.)

These days his main job seems to be keeping elderly white men in a constant state of bad temper and pointless anger. Sort of like hemorrhoids or a bad case of shingles. Which, if you think about it, are pretty good metaphors for Limbaugh himself.

I imagine the little gorilla saying, "C'mon mom, it just followed me home. Can we keep it? Can we? It can stay in the garage, can't it?".

Then I imagine the mom gorilla saying, "No dear, they're carnivores, and they have a bad record of cleaning up after themselves. It'll just ruin the garage, then it'll want to move into the nest before it eats you."

I'm not sure if I ever watched Alien from start to finish in one sitting. When I think of Sigourney Weaver, I remember her voiceover as the ship in Futurama.
