Safari Extension Bug

A weird thing is happening with Bitwarden and Wipr. I get them setup in Safari working correctly. I logout and log back in everything works (as it should). But when I reboot, Bitwarden is gone and Wipr loses the Wipr Extra option. When I mean gone, they have disappeared from the Safari Preferences Extension panel. I read somewhere there is a long standing bug since Big Sur with Safari, but is there a fix? Has anyone experienced this?

Another weird thing. So lets say they are not working. I use App Cleaner and get rid of the items. I go to the App Store and download them both. Neither one works like it should. The only way I can get it working again is to use time machine and get an older version.

2019 16" MBP. Came from Catalina. Bypassed Big Sur. The Monterey install went fine. Everything was working up until recently.

Also, can Safari Monterey be reinstalled? Where can I find the install pkg download from Apple's servers? Thanks in advance...

Hi! There are 2 ways to reinstall Safari that could help:
- reinstall Safari (without reinstalling the OS)
- reinstall OS (your data will remain in place) - this will put back the Safari version your OS came with

Update Bitwarden to the latest version 1.29.1, if the extension still doesn't show up in safari or in the preference pane, rebuild the Launch Services: https://lapcatsoftware.com/articles/disappearing-safari.html

Well, rebuilding the launch services seemed to have worked! Thank you. The key was rebuilding the launch services. Both Cocktail and Onyx can do this for you. I used Cocktail.

Thanks! I’ve found this one, but was hesitant because it says Catalina. So, this will work on Monterey right?

I tried it on both and it installed fine, but didn't help in my case (system reinstall did)
