Hey, I was wondering is there a plugin, or anyway to make Safari play some kind of sound to know when a file is done downloading? That's one thing I really miss about my Windows days, after something was downloaded we would get that infamous "dun don" or something like that. Sometimes I download a lot of files one after another, and the file will already be done downloading, but I didn't look. If I could hear some kind of prompt it would make my life so much easier, and I am sure this is something tons of people would want.

So does anyone know if it is possible?

Thanks for any info ahead of time.

Hi,
You could try using the free notification system called Growl. Within the package there is a plug-in that allows notifications of completed downloads from Safari. Also, many other popular mac apps use growl as well.

Hope that helps!
