That software is not free...it is very hard and cumbersome to use.
Google does not want anyone downloading anything and made it
difficult at best....you could record it with Quicktime as it plays but
Apple decided that QT should not be able to record audio...what a concept!

I downloaded it after I read this and it was an infected file. Chrome warned me.

Thanks for the tips, after tons of search it seems this is the only legit app that does work. It cost a little but it works and its simple to use. Cheers.

Thanks for the tips. I like the products from Wondershare but i had bad experience in regard to new version and naming. They release to many variant of the same thing naming it differently and that junk.

I prefer Airy. Not free, but versatile and just works.

Yes i know, quality apps cost. As long as it works i'm fine with this. Cost is reasonable.
Seems nice but limited to youtube i think.

Thank you guys for the tip on Downie. Reasonable price for an excellent, very well built, simple to use and effective tool.

    Cheers!

I try many apps to download videos, and yes Downie IMO is the best one but is too expensive... for just an app to download videos, and yes works for facebook, instragram etc. Maybe I'll buy it when get a 50% off or something.
I'm sick to use sites to download videos, so the app is a safe bet.

Not from Safari, but from a Terminal command prompt, youtube-dl, is very simple to use. All you need to do is enter youtube-dl and the URL from Youtube.

Idiot proof. It took me about 30 seconds to save the video I was working on!
