A smaller notch, 2k screen minimum, pro motion display, a little more ram because why not. Now that’s an iPhone I wouldn’t be completely happy with.

Apples current ram supplier for the iPhone is sk Hynix and micron.

    Toshiba supplies their ssd.

I believe the only component apple uses from Samsung is for the oled display. Samsung is responsible for fabricating apples oled display.

Meh, so long as the RAM isn't crap and there's enough, I don't think it matters who supplies Apple with RAM for their devices.

Oooo never say no to more RAM.

Is your profile pic your actual cat? I’ve got one. 18 years old now.

I’m guessing no for you, but it’d be interesting if it is.

Regardless, you won’t reply. Such is life.

Why would you think I would not reply? Love my cats and not a bit ashamed of it!

Give you cat a big hug, 18 years old a an accomplishment.

She is beautiful. I have had cats when they were 18 and it can be sad. Celebrate every day with you cat and remind it of the good times and comfort it On the bad days.

Thanks. Yours are too. She’s my special gal. Had a turkey sandwich tonight so she had quite the treat. I don’t think about her age. Gotta keep the tears in check.

The Anandtech article is about Samsung to produce LPDDR5-5500 spec RAM for mobile devices, with devices being lined up to have up to 12Gb.

I can't answer your question whether the iPhone users need 12Gb of RAM, I'm of the opinion of more RAM the better as it's faster than NVME.

The article is just saying that they make new RAM chips for devices up to 12 GB. No mention of Apple, iPhone or a year.

As usual you are wildly guessing/wishing without any more insight than anyone else.

Same as when you guessed that iPads, at least the entry level ones, would drop the headphone jack in 2016/2017 - and here we are in 2019 with all three lower tier iPad types with the connector in place.
